Our Story

Story Heading #1

Our Meraki, Inc is a non-profit organization registered with the State of Georgia who started by providing assistance to victims in Haiti who’ve suffered at the hands of natural disasters.

Story Heading #2

On October 25, 2016, a life-changing event befell the nation of Haiti. With winds in excess of 150 mph, Hurricane Matthew carried with it the destructive power to significantly reconstruct the landscape of the nation and that of the lives of its inhabitants.

Story Heading #3

Invading the shores of the island, Hurricane Matthew was reported to have claimed around 200,000 homes and an estimated 546 lives. Those whose homes weren’t completely obliterated, were left with severe need for Humanitarian aid in the form of supplies and medical attention.

In response to this, Our Meraki, Inc was formed and had their very first Mission Trip to help provide aid to the victims of the ordeal. Close to 50 large boxes of clothes, shoes and bags were collected in just 4 weeks and shipped to Haiti, distributed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Our efforts in partnership with another NGO made it possible for us to be able to repair homes damaged by the hurricane, provide food, clothing, school supplies and hygiene products to over 1000 families in need!
